Office 365 Migration Log Reports
After every migration operation, EdbMails Office 365 Migration software automatically generates a detailed, text-based log report. It covers the migration status of each mailbox, any errors or warnings encountered, and an item count for every mailbox and folder, giving administrators everything they need to monitor and verify the migration. These reports are available at three levels of detail: a full migration summary, a job-specific breakdown, and an individual mailbox status so admins can move from a high-level overview down to a single mailbox when troubleshooting is needed. Each report type is covered below, along with the exact steps to view it.
How to View the Log Report?
To view the migration log report in EdbMails follow the steps below:
Click the ‘View Log’ button from the left navigation pane of the main migration window.

Comprehensive Migration Report Details
In summary of your migration, this complete report gives details about your migration job, such as the application version number, the email address used to log in, information about source mailboxes and folders details, your export / migration thread number, and filter settings (include / exclude). The number of items that have been migrated for this migration job is also displayed. Please refer to the screenshot below to view the migration report:
Job-Specific Office 365 Migration Report
EdbMails gives the migration reports sorted on the basis of the names of the jobs assigned by the user during the migration process. The name of the job will appear in the left column in the log table. The job-specific report is available as shown below:
Cumulative Office 365 Migration Report
The Cumulative Report option in EdbMails shows you the entire picture of your migration in one single report. The report consists of source and target mailbox names being migrated, the total number of mail items migrated, a list of excluded folders, the timestamp for each session, along with the count of the items migrated in the earlier session. This option combines data from several mailboxes and sessions into one comprehensive report. With this feature, administrators can effectively monitor the overall migration progress and accurately verify the results.
- Click ‘View’ in the ‘Log Details’ column for the specific job row.
- Click the ‘Cumulative Report’ button.

Individual Mailbox Migration Report:
In the individual mailbox report, you will see the source and target mailbox name, the total number of items migrated, info of folders that have been excluded and their information, details about the timestamp, the number of items migrated previously, and the migration errors. Please refer to the images below to view the Individual Mailbox Report:
