CartDetailed Migration Reports
EdbMails Office 365 Migration software automatically generates a detailed, text-based migration log report after each migration operation. The report provides essential information about the process, including the migration status of every mailbox, any errors or warnings encountered, and a detailed count of items migrated in each mailbox and its folders.
The migration log report is essential for tracking and monitoring migration progress, providing key insights that support effective evaluation and management.
Additionally, EdbMails provides specialized detailed migration reports for different aspects:
- Overview of your Migration: EdbMails generates a detailed Comprehensive Migration Summary that provides a clear overview of the entire migration process. This report highlights overall completion status, any pending items, and key statistics, helping administrators quickly assess the progress and efficiency of the migration.
- Detailed Migration Job Reports: For organizations handling multiple migration tasks, EdbMails provides Job-Specific Migration Reports. These reports focus on individual migration jobs, providing in-depth information about transferred data, errors encountered, and the status of each task. This allows IT teams to pinpoint and resolve issues efficiently without affecting the overall migration workflow.
- Status of Individual Mailboxes: EdbMails also provides mailbox-level reporting through its Individual Mailbox Report, providing insights into the migration status of individual user mailboxes. These reports highlight successful transfers, errors, and pending items, enabling administrators to monitor each user’s mailbox and ensure nothing is overlooked during the migration process.

How to view the migration report?
To view the migration log report in EdbMails follow the steps below:
Click the ‘View Logs’ button from the left navigation pane of the main migration window.
Select the operation type.
Click ‘View’ under the ‘Log Details’ column.
Comprehensive Migration Summary:
The detailed migration summary provides a complete overview of your migration job. It includes the application version number, the email address used to log in, information about the source mailboxes and folders, the number of threads used for export / migration, and filter settings ( include / exclude). Additionally, it shows the total number of items migrated for that particular job. You can refer to the screenshot below to view this report:
Job-Specific Migration Report:
EdbMails provides detailed migration reports categorized by the names of specific jobs assigned by the user during the migration process. These job names are displayed in the left column of the log table. To view this report refer to the screenshot below:
Cumulative Report
The Cumulative Report option in EdbMails provides a complete and consolidated overview of your entire migration process in a single report. It includes all source and target mailbox details involved in the migration, the total count of migrated items, details of excluded folders, timestamp information for each session, and the number of items migrated in previous sessions. By combining data from multiple mailboxes and sessions into one comprehensive report, this option helps administrators efficiently track overall migration progress and accurately verify the results.
- Click ‘View’ in the ‘Log Details’ column for the specific job row.
- Click the ‘Cumulative Report’ button
- View the complete, detailed Cumulative Report.
Individual Mailbox Migration Report:
The individual mailbox report provides details on the source and target mailbox names, total count of migrated items, excluded folder information, timestamp specifics, number of items migrated in previous runs, and any encountered migration errors. To view the individual mailbox report, refer the screenshots below:
Click ‘View’ under the ‘Log details’ column in the specific job name row.
Click ‘View’ from the required mailboxes row.
Note: EdbMails generates a complete log report for the migration operation. However, it's always recommended to manually verify the data in the target Office 365 mailboxes to ensure everything has been migrated correctly.
