  3. I don't have PayPal account. Is it possible to purchase EdbMails license using Credit Card / Debit Card / PayCheque or through Wire Transfer?

    Yes. You can purchase EdbMails license using Credit Card / Debit Card / Paycheque or through Wire Transfer as explained below:

    • 1. Pay through Credit Card / Debit Card

      Click the "Pay with Debit or Credit Card" as shown in the below image, to pay using your Credit Card or Debit Card without having a PayPal account.paypal
    • 2. Pay through eCheque

      1. Log in to your PayPal account.
      2. Link your Bank account to your PayPal Account. If your Bank account is already linked to your PayPal,
      3. Click Profile near the top of the page.
      4. Click My money under My Profile.
      5. Click Update, or Link bank - in the Bank accounts section.
      6. Click Add
      7. Enter requested info and click add Bank account or Select Checking or Savings account.
      8. Delete any credit/debit cards as backup funding sources. If you have done this or do not have credit/debit cards as backup funding sources.
      9. Click Send Money.
      10. Enter the required information.
      11. Select eCheque.
      12. Click Continue.
      13. Review the information and click Send Money to complete the transaction.
    • 3. Pay through Wire Transfer

  4. I have Exchange database backup and my server has crashed. Does EdbMails requires Exchange Server or Active directory (AD) to recover / restore my database?

    No. EdbMails does not require Exchange server or Active directory to recover / restore your Exchange Server database (EDB file). You can install EdbMails on any Windows computer and recover your database without any dependency of Exchange server.


     
  5. Do I need to download separate setups for Edb to PST, Edb to Office 365 and Edb to Live Exchange Server Migration?

    No. There is only ONE EdbMails Setup comprises of all the functionalities such as Edb to PST, Edb to Office 365 and Edb to Live Exchange Server Migration.

  6. Should I have Outlook installed on the computer where I'm running EdbMails for Exchange recovery?

    It is recommended to install recent version of Outlook before you start exporting emails using EdbMails.

  7. Does Internet connection is required to use EdbMails?

    To ensure the security of your application access, EdbMails requires Internet connection ONLY to authenticate your login credentials. Upon successful login, during mail export operation, EdbMails doesn't require Internet connection. In other words, it is just limited to the application login authentication and EdbMails will not keep your database details on cloud. EdbMails is an OFFLINE EDB to PST recovery tool..

  8. How do I export Mailboxes / Folders to PST files using EdbMails?

    Right click on the Mailbox or Folder that you wish to export as shown in the below screenshot.

  9. I'm willing to buy EdbMails application license, please let me know the main difference between the Personal, Corporate and Technical license.

    Personal Edition
    Personal edition is suggested for Personal data, to use the software for non-commercial purpose. Personal edition can be installed on limited number of computers for non-commercial usage. Personal edition users can only export EDB to PST file and it will not support EDB to Office 365 and EDB to Live Exchange Server migration. Personal edition comes with EdbMails Technical support assistance.

    Corporate Edition

    Yes. You can export multiple mailboxes at once by using 'Export Selected Mailboxes / Folders to PST / Office 365 / Live Exchange' option. Please refer the below screenshot for details.

  12. How can I report error and send trace logs to EdbMails technical support?

    You can do this by using 'Report Error' feature. You can find this option at the top right corner of the EdbMails main screen (refer the below screenshot).

  13. I would like to send the complete log / trace file to EdbMails Tech support. How do I do that?

    Follow the below steps to send the complete log / trace file ("mailtrace.txt").

    1. Open the Run dialog. Press ⊞ Win + R on your keyboard.

    2. To Open the log / trace file location. Type "%localappdata%/EdbMails/" into the Run dialog and click OK.

    3. From the location it opened, find for the "mailtrace.txt" file and send this file to EdbMails Tech support.

  14. How do I view my emails in the application?

    After the successful login, select the EDB file that you wish to recover in the screen that is displayed. Upon successful recovery, the main screen will be displayed with the Mailboxes and its folders. Navigate through the Tree view and locate the folders as shown in the below screen.

    Double click the required folder(s) (Inbox, Outbox, Sent Items etc.) to the view the emails.


     
  15. How do I save selected Mailbox folders into PST file?

    Right click the folder (Inbox, Outbox, Sent Items etc.) that you wish to save into PST file and select the popup menu item "Export Selected Mailboxes / Folders to PST / Office 365 / Live Exchange" to save the emails into PST file.

  16. Does EdbMails extracts mails from the Exchange database (EDB) file which is having Non-English (Unicode) characters?

    Yes. EdbMails is designed to support Exchange database (EDB) file with all the English and Non English (Unicode) characters. If you observe any character conversion issue, you may change your "System locale" to "English" and verify. Refer below screenshot to set the desired System locale using "Region And Language" option which is present in your system Control Panel.

  17. I'm opening PST file in my Outlook 2000 after the export operation, the email body is empty. Why?

    There is compatibility issue with Outlook 2000, we recommend you to open the PST file using higher versions of Outlook.

  18. Can I perform Exchange Server Migration using EdbMails application?

    Yes. You can perform direct Live Exchange Server migration using EdbMails Live Exchange Server Migration option.

    Also, if you have PST files, you can migrate the Mails from PST to Exchange Server using following Powershell Command.
    Use the below Powershell command to import a PST file into a user's primary mailbox

  19. I would like to include / exclude mails based on Sent / Received date / Subject. How can I do that?

    There is Include / Exclude facility with EdbMails application and you can use this to Include / Exclude mails from the export operation.
    Steps to Include / Exclude mails based on Sent / Received date / Subject:

    1. Select the Mailboxes / Folders that you wish to export and click the "Export Selected Mailboxes..." button as shown in the below screenshot.

    3. Set the desired Include / Exclude criteria on the screen that appears as shown below and proceed with the export operation.

  20. How can I split the PST files in smaller chunks (smaller size), for email export?

    Select the option set the size of the PST file, and set the desired size for the PST file split.

  21. How do I export my Mailbox to a single PST file (without PST file split), using EdbMails Edb to PST recovery software?

    Uncheck the option Uncheck Option and export your Mailbox items to a single PST file.

    Note: We recommend you to opt for PST file splitting to a higher size value such as 4GB etc., if you have huge amount of mail items in your Mailbox.

  22. When I try to open the EDB file, I am getting the message "Unable to fetch the EDB file details. Reason: EDB attach / open has failed". Why?

    This issue may arise if the required dependency components are not available on your computer. Please refer the below points for a quick resolution.

    1. Ensure that you have Microsoft Outlook installed on your computer.

    2. If you are facing this issue on Windows 10 or higher operating system then install EdbMails on Windows 7 or Window 8 Operating system and verify. Microsoft Outlook presence is must on any versions of Windows operating system for EDB recovery.

    3. Report the issues to EdbMails Tech support and our support team will assist you in resolving the issue.

     

  23. How many mails can I export using my EdbMails Trial account?

    EdbMails allows you to export upto 30 items from each and every folder in your EDB file, using your trial account. If you want to verify mails on each and every folders then you can select the particular folder one by one and export them by right clicking on it.

  24. Does EdbMails supports Public Folders / Public Calendars recovery / export?

    Yes. Using EdbMails you can recover and export Public Folders / Public Calendars to an Outlook PST file. Also, you can export Public Folders / Public Calendars to Office 365 / Live Exchange Server.


     

  25. How do I save a mail item into EML, MSG, MHT, HTML, TXT or .RTF File?

    Right click on the mail item that you wish to save and select the appropriate file type (EML, MSG, MHT, HTML, TXT or .RTF) from the submenu as shown below.

  26. How long does it take before the first PST is generated after starting EDB to PST export operation?

    The moment progress starts showing the counts for the exported items, the PST file will get created in the selected location. Ensure that you have Microsoft Outlook installed on your computer to export Mailboxes to a PST file.

     

  27. In trial version when I export contacts, PST file is created with a size of 256 KB. Where can i see the contact details?

    Open MS Outlook, right click on any of the Mailbox and click on "Open Outlook Data File" and then select the exported PST file as shown in the below screen.

  29. Steps to configure the Proxy Settings if your computer connects through a Proxy server.

    1. Click the 'Proxy Settings' button which is present in the login screen as shown below.

    4. If your Proxy Server is configured with Password then enter the details by selecting the checkbox 'Proxy Server requires password' as shown below.

    EdbMails allows you to select appropriate source and target mailboxes during Edb to Office 365 and Live Exchange Server migration. For this, select the mailbox / user account in the list of mailbox / folders there are selected for Edb to Office 365 and Live Exchange Server migration as shown in the below screen.

  6. Can I use Office 365 user account which is not an Office 365 exchange mailbox account for Edb to Office 365 migration?

    No. To perform Edb to Office 365 migration, the Office 365 account that you are Impersonating must be Office 365 Exchange Mailbox user account.

  7. Do I need to set Impersonation Rights to each and every user account?

    No. You no need to set Impersonation rights to all the Office 365 Exchange mailbox accounts. You need to set Impersonation rights to only the Administrator user and use this Administrator user for Office 365 login via the EdbMails application during Edb to Office 365 migration. Using this Impersonated user, EdbMails will list all the other users and you can map them to any Mailboxes for Edb To Office 365 migration.

  1. How do I create an account?

  2. I have purchased the license and made a payment via PayPal but it has sent an eCheque instead of an instant payment. Do I need to wait until a week to get the application license as PayPal may take a week or more to clear the payment?

    No need to wait for a week for the application activation. Upon receiving eCheque payment confirmation, we will activate your account without delay. However, If there is any delay in activation, kindly contact our support with the details.

  3. How do I change my password and profile details?

    Login to your account and click on the 'My account' to change your password or other profile details.

  4. How to upgrade from free account to paid version?

    Login to your account and go to 'View product Details' page. There click on Upgrade Button. In the next page select the product you wanted and click on submit and proceed to the payment page.

  7. How do I send my queries to EdbMails?

  8. EdbMails requires signup. That means, EdbMails keep my database details on Cloud?

    No. EdbMails requires signup to ensure your account access security. It is just limited to application login authentication and EdbMails will not keep your database details on cloud. EdbMails is an OFFLINE EDB to PST recovery tool.

  9. How do I print my Invoice?

    Login to your account and go to 'View product Details' page. There click the "View/Pay invoices" Button.

  10. Do you send key to use the application once I purchase the license?

    No. EdbMails does not require any key to use the application. Once you purchase the license, the application will be automatically starts working as per your license type.

  11. How do I change or download the Invoice?

    Login to your account in https://edbmails.com and go to My Account page. To have the invoice in your company name, you can change the "Full Name" to your company name. Also if you need Customer VAT Number you can mention the "VAT Number". Then submit the changes.
