How do I upgrade to the latest version, and what is the difference?

Version numbers

The version of the application is always visible at the very top of the main application window. It is made up of four numbers separated by dots, such as 3.3.2.15, and follows the pattern shown below:

[major].[minor].[maintenance].[build]

which means the following:

  • [major] -The major version is the number on the left, or the first. It only changes when significant features are added to the software.
  • [minor] - When we release a new version with planned improvements or when new functionalities are added, the second digit changes (see release notes).
  • [maintenance] - The third position digit will change only if a previously unplanned software release occurs. This is common when a critical bugfix must be added and cannot wait for the next minor version change.
  • [build] - A build is a collection of changes to the software or a minor update, such as UI changes, fixes, or enhancements. This includes addressing security flaws and other bugs, as well as improving functionality, usability, and performance.

How to Upgrade ?

  • Download the installer from the download page and install it on the machine that has the migration software installed.
  • Install the program by running the downloaded installer.

    Warning: If the application is already running, the installer will terminate it and you will have to restart it manually after the upgrade.

  • If you have installed the program on more than one machine in your environment, run the upgrade on each machine.
  • After the upgrade is finished, you can run the program. All of your settings are saved, but you need to manually restart the migration.
