The SMTP address has no mailbox associated with it

Problem:

You may get the below error in EdbMails application during migration.

Solution:

Check all the below points:

  • The mailbox is enabled in source server and login via OWA works fine. The mailbox configuration is perfect.
  • You have selected the proper source and destination servers.
  • The mailbox on the both source and target server are not deleted/disabled/locked or the SMTP addresses are removed.
  • The target server domain configuration is proper at your domain registrar.
  • Your source server DNS forwards target domain queries in a right way.
