Issue:

You may get the below error in EdbMails application.

The request failed. The remote server returned an error: (405) Method Not Allowed

Fix:

If you are working on a hybrid environment (Combination of On-Premises Exchange and Office 365), there might be chance to server connection failure. This is due to issue with AutoDiscover service.

Go through the below steps:

  • Sign-in to Office 365 administrator account.
  • Create a new global administrator account. Ensure that you have selected the domain @your_domain.onmicrosoft.com
  • Re enter the credentials in your source/target Office 365. Open EdbMails application and try to login using the same global administrator credentials.
  • Start the migration process.
